Can I switch plans?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade anytime from your account page. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
What does "local streams" mean?
A local stream is a viewer connected to your HomeVidStream server while on the same Wi-Fi or home network. Remote streams (Professional/Enterprise) allow viewers outside your home network to connect directly to your server.
Does video pass through your servers?
No — never. Your video files go directly from your home PC to the viewer's browser. Our servers only handle licensing and account management.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your account page at any time. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
What devices can viewers watch on?
Any device with a modern browser — smart TV, phone, tablet, laptop. No app install needed for viewers. The HomeVidStream server itself requires Windows 10/11 and VLC.
